Have you ever tried to send a link, or received one, that wrapped around in your email address? Whether you’re the sender or the recipient, it can be frustrating to try to click and paste a really long web address from the email to an address bar.
One solution for this is TinyURL. TinyURL allows you to enter a long domain name, which will automatically be shortened. The result will be http://tinyurl.com/xxxxx with “xxxxx” being a mix of numbers and letters that TinyURL provides. You can also try to select a custom name. For example, I wanted to use “nptech” instead of what TinyURL provides for the “xxxxx” portion of the name. So, if you come to this blog, you can use http://tinyurl.com/nptech instead of http://nptechnology.blogspot.com/. Try it out!
