Do you need some help with your SEO and SEM?

I guess the first question is – Do you know what SEO and SEM mean?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a way to increase your rankings by improving the quality of your web site.  This usually includes having a site with quality content and appropriate keywords.  SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is about getting additional traffic through search, often through paid advertising, such as Google Adwords.

It’s okay if you’re confused.  No one can be an expert in everything.  Hopefully, you at least get the concept that it’s important for people to find you online easily.  There are a number of experts who specifically help clients improve their web ranking.  Fortunately, nonprofits can receive this assistance for free.

MediaCause is a free service started by Eric Facas.  He’s using his extensive  experience as a digital media strategist to benefit nonprofits.   MediaCause works by matching nonprofits and volunteers to work on improving SEO and SEM for the nonprofit.    Once you’re registered and accepted as a nonprofit, you’ll have templates which will help define your need for a volunteer.

Are you already an expert in SEM or SEO?  Then perhaps you’d consider volunteering.  Either way, take a look at their web-site and at the very least, help spread the word.
